Circular Saw
Ear and Eye Protection Strongly Recommended!
The portable circular saw is used for making straight cuts through materials such as lumber, medium-density fiberboard (MDF), and other sheet materials. Specialty blades can be attached for cutting metal or concrete.
This saw can be used for cross cuts (slicing perpendicular to wood grain) or rip cuts (parallel to the wood grain). Accuracy requires a clear working area, secured working material, and the use of a guide.
Prepare Before Use
Secure or remove any loose or dangling clothing.
Do not plug in this tool until all settings are correct.
Clear your work area for easy, safe movement.
Check the bevel gauge at the front of the tool, to make sure your blade is tilted or straight as your project requires
Set the depth of the blade to 1 full tooth below the working material. This will keep the blade cool and avoid excessive exposure.
Check the spring-loaded blade guard for smooth movement and full blade coverage when not in use.
During Use
Set the tool in position without the blade touching the material.
Bring the blade to full speed before beginning the cut.
Allow the blade to fully clear the material before releasing the trigger.
Let the blade stop completely before setting down the tool.
