Bypass Pruners

$0.00

Bypass loppers are ideally for cutting stems and small branches of living material. As the bypass blade presses against the stem or branch and slices through it, the second curved blade holds the material in place from behind. The bypass blade passes completely through the material, leaving no broken or frayed pieces for a clean cut that will heal over.

Tool Tips

  • Cut live stems and branches at an angle, to allow rain and moisture to roll off.

  • Keep the interior blade edges flat and smooth, for full contact.

  • when sharpening the exterior edge (not the bypass side), maintain the existing angle of the blade.

  • Thicker, denser material can pull these blades apart effect their bypass. Tighten the hinge bolt slightly if blades do not appear flush when passing each other.
